Hi,, have you read this beek the crucible i have some Q'S?

ok so recently i have had soo many exams and test for my 6 clases and havent had time to read the crucible can you please try and answer this for me,, thanks in advance

1, i think this is for act 1 or 2: who is betty and what is wrong with her

2. when abigail enters she is described as " a strinkly beautiful girl..with an endless capacity for dissembling". what does the phrase an "endless capacity for dissembling" suggest?

3. why does rev. parris become upset at the thought that bettys illness is a result of un natural causes?

4. wha negative aspects of his characyer does this reveal?

5. what innuendo does rev. parris make about abigails character?

6. how does abigail respond?

7. how does goody putman move the plot along?

8. what motivation is miller attributing to thomas putmans actions?|||1. Betty is Parris' daughter, and she woke up screaming, leading others to think that she is bewitched.

2. It means she is really good at disguising her true nature.

3. Betty is his daughter, and as Reverend, it looks really bad to have a bewitched daughter.

4. He cares more about himself than his daughter, making him selfish. He also cares too much about what others think.

5. I'm not sure. From what I remember, he thought her young and innocent.

6. Well Abigail goes along with the young and innocent thing. She uses it to her advantage.

7. Goody Putnam was very jealous of Goody Nurse since Putnam lost all but one of her children, and Nurse had such a great reputation with the children of the town.

8. Selfish motivations, trying to make himself look good.|||You really should read the book yourself instead of trying to get people to do your homework for you.|||I think I've seen this on TV movie, about an adulterer, perhaps maybe i have the wrong film.|||Some people don't like being given a list of sites to look at, if you would like me to delete my answer, then contact me and I will.
