How can u tell a male from a female parakeetbird?

is it from the beek and who is who|||Right above there beak where the nostril holes are. If it is a bluish color, they are male. If it is the same color as the beak they are female.|||The waxy thing above the beek (cere). If it's blue or purple it's a male and if it's pink or a brownish colour its a female.|||yes it is from the beak. males have a blue colour just above the beak, near the nostrils and females are pinky, tan coloured. by the way you have to wait 3-4 months until these colours appear.|||the cere above the beak is blue for a male or pink, sometimes tan for a female, however before maturity at about 3 months all parakeets have a pink or tan cere|||The female parakeet is the one with the little pocketbook and high heels.
