How can i save a fallen bird?

There's a fallen bird in my back yard... it's not that young but it still can't fly and it seems he still gets fed by his mom i can't reach the nest becouse it's in the roof of my house and it's 3 levels soo ... i just wondered how he survived the fall.. i left some water and wet bread near him but maybe i need to get a worm and a pretend beek to feed him.. i really don't know what to do and i don't want him to die...|||The mom is probably still around watching her baby. All you have to do is take a small box or a strawberry basket, put some grass in it, put the little bird in the box, and place it somewhere in a tree. Someplace that you can reach. The mom will continue to take care of it and feed it from there. No need to try to feed it yourself. Just make sure it is safe from cats. (Whoever said to stomp on it is an idiot.)|||Please leave the bird alone. It's parents are caring for it, and it is supposed to be on the ground.

Baby birds leave the nest (fledge) before they can fly. They are called FLEDGLINGS and are supposed to be on the ground. It's normal. He didn't fall - he jumped - intentionally.

Do not feed the bird. Do not leave food anywhere near it. You are going to attract predators.

Leave the bird alone, and stay away so the parents can do their job. They know how to care for their babies - you do not.|||Bird have NO SENSE OF SMELL. Its a myth the mom wont come back if you touch it. If you leave it where you found it the parents will still care for it and feed it on the ground. if you know for a fact that the parent birds are gone, there is no way to put the baby back, or the babies are cold and limp, then they need to be rescued. Keep him in a small, dark, covered box with holes punched in the lid. Warm the babies by positioning a heating pad, set on LOW, under the box. Other ways to warm the babies are to fill a ziplock bag or rubber glove with warm water and place it in the box, or microwave a dish towel for 25 seconds (only warm enough that you can place the towel over your face) and use that. You can also hang a 40 watt light bulb over the box to produce warmth. Do NOT put fresh green grass in the box because the moisture in it will chill them. You may line the box with paper towels. Do NOT pet the baby. They may gape (open their beaks) but do NOT feed them anything including milk, water, honey, egg or homemade formula because their stomachs will not tolerate these items and it is easy to drown a baby bird with fluid. u can only feed baby bird formula with a syringe or dropper which u can find in any pet store, they cost around $4.00 to $7.00. Call a Wildlife Rehabilitator for help as soon as possible|||Do not help it!

Your scent will rub off onto it. It's mom should be able to find it by smelling it out, but if your scent is on it, the mom won't recognize it.

This is what you should do to save the bird.|||Did you touch it? If so, the mother won't touch it.

It's hard, but let nature take it's course.|||just take it to an emergency vet.
