Why does my cockatail make this weird noise?

i have a female cockatail and right now she is making this noise with her beak and moving her mouth back and forth its really irritating me right now why is she doing this what does it mean? it sounds like she is griding her beek|||She is grinding her beak. They do it when they are content, usually before naps and bedtime.

This sound is natural, she will always do this. It should make you happy that your bird is content and relaxed...not irritated. She's not doing it to annoy you.|||its perfectly normal. she is very happy and content where she is and what she is doing. probbably ready to sleep and take a nap.|||Hahaa. I thought the same way when my uncle's senegals were doing it. It means she's feeling happy and content.

awww... isn't that cute?

Don't think about it as irritating; think about it as good and your doing your job as an owner.|||mine does the same thing. it is perfectly normal. sometimes they like to do it to sharpen their beaks. i would highly suggest getting a cuddle bone(if you don't have one) because it cuts this down to a minimum. and if i were to guess it is usually befores she goes to sleep.
