For example I read recently that James Van Der Beek from Dawsons Creek still makes $30,000 a month from Dawsons Creek, and the same with Tim Allen and Home Improvement, his was around 60,000 a month just from Home Improvement re runs.
That sounds like alot to me so I was wondering how do T.V shows still make that kind of money?|||A 30 second prime time comercail runs about $750,000. A rerun of one of those primetime episodes, about $200,000. So figure there are 5 comercials every 8 minutes, that would be about 18 comercials per 30 mintues airing.....
30 x $200,000 = about $6,000,000 per show.
